Visitor Services and Functions Co-ordinator

This is an opportunity to join a motivated, high-performing team at City Gallery Wellington. A new role has been identified for City Gallery Wellington, responsible for visitor services operations, venue hire facilitation and Gallery functions. 

You will be responsible for the achievement of revenue targets, while ensuring that an outstanding level of customer service is delivered at all times. We are looking for an experienced person with a proven record that includes managing a diverse team and ensuring safety and security within a highly changeable art environment.  You need to bring experience in event facilitation, nurturing strong client relationships, and a commitment to achieving excellence in customer service.  A working knowledge of contemporary art practices is a plus.

If you have well-rounded communication skills with strong time management and administrative skills, and staff management experience this is the role for you. You will lead a team that takes pride in positive results including income generation and visitor satisfaction. This position reports to the Visitor and Commercial Services Manager. Weekends and evening hours are required.

Visitor Services Host (permanent, part-time)

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated person to join our Visitor Services team at the City Gallery Wellington.

To be considered for this role, you will have the following skills and attributes:
•              a proven track-record within a customer service environment
•              excellent communications skills and a confident manner
•              a passion for interacting with the public and ability to present to groups of people
•              a strong work ethic and a willingness to exceed expectations
•              the ability to work both as part of a team and independently
•              great attention to detail and a conscientious approach to completing tasks
•              a strong interest in contemporary art

This is a permanent part-time role working approximately 20 hours per week, generally 1-5.15pm, Monday to Friday.

Some flexibility and the ability to work weekends and late nights may be required.  Additional hours may also be available
